Actavo has announced the appointment of Nigel Tighe as Managing Director of Actavo Modular, the company’s modular buildings division and one of Ireland’s longest established providers in the sector.

Mr Tighe brings 30 years’ experience in the Irish construction industry, having delivered a range of complex and award-winning projects across the sector. He has held several senior leadership roles and is recognised for his experience in strategy development, client engagement and business growth.

As Managing Director, he will lead the continued development and delivery of Actavo Modular’s growth strategy, at a time when demand for offsite construction solutions continues to expand across education, healthcare and public infrastructure.

Keith Tobin, Chief Executive Officer of Actavo, said the appointment strengthens the company’s senior leadership team.

“We are delighted to welcome Nigel to Actavo’s senior leadership team. He brings deep expertise, a strong track record of delivery and a collaborative leadership style that aligns with our values. This appointment further strengthens our capability to support clients, innovate, and drive strategic growth across our business,” Mr Tobin said.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Tighe said modular construction is playing an increasingly significant role in meeting Ireland’s building needs.

Actavo Modular delivers factory-built buildings designed to comply fully with Irish building regulations and backed by a standard 60-year structural warranty. The modular approach reduces the need for extensive on-site labour, minimises disruption and noise, and shortens overall programme timelines compared to traditional construction methods.

Actavo operates internationally as a strategic operations partner across telecoms, power, energy, education, events, healthcare, utilities and local authorities. Headquartered in Dublin, the company employs more than 2,000 people and delivers network and in-home services, industrial solutions, modular buildings and event infrastructure across Ireland, the UK, Germany, South America and 15 countries in the Caribbean.

“I am delighted to take on the role of Managing Director at Actavo Modular at such an exciting time for the business. Modular construction is playing an increasingly important role in delivering high-quality, sustainable buildings quickly and efficiently. I look forward to working with our talented team and valued clients to build on Actavo’s strong reputation, drive innovation, and continue delivering exceptional projects across Ireland and beyond,” he said.
